Also, is it a bit risky undertaking laser liposuction when its quite a new procedure?
I have been working with laser lipolysis equipment for several years and here is my opinion. The laser is used to melt and disrupt the fat before the it is taken out and this makes laser lipolysis more gentile then traditional liposuction alone. Most laser lipolysis procedures are performed under local anesthesia (your awake) making the procedure less risky than traditional liposuction often performed under general anesthesia, so recovery with laser lipolysis is quicker. Laser lipolysis has also been shown to tighten tissues such as skin, up to 57% more than liposuction, so it’s often used for areas of skin laxity and not as much fat such as the aging neck. Smartlipo, the first laser lipolysis technology introduced has actually been used since 2002 - so there are 8 years of clinical study and more than 40 clinical references siting the use of Smartlipo.
